  1. Excellent. Not that you did your one-liner, but the line itself. It could be saying that each time you rip open your gift, you are reminded that you have one year less. Or it might mean that the material gift cannot compete. Or, MattWricks might say. . .

    Anyway, this little line gives me a creepy, unsettled feel.

  2. oddly enough, i was going for “creepy,” so I succeeded.

    my 5-year-old daughter rapidly unwrapped each birthday
    present and then quickly tossed it aside.

    in the words of my nephew, “it is so awesome when you get
    exactly what you asked for.”
