This is a hard one to crack, a tough one to figure out. Do I sense more anger in these few words? Or is it gratitude?
Does it mean that (1) having friends and loved ones is a luxury, and having yourself to deal with is a life-long mission?
Or, does it mean that (2) you see life as easy (luxury) for everyone else, while it’s difficult for you?
Or, going a step further, I guess it could mean that (3) most people trip through life without thinking too deeply, skipping happily, naively from one thing to the next, while you dig deeper, understanding that you have to understand, and furthermore, that there is a payout in the end for doing so?
Any of these connects to earlier themes you’ve established on this site (I think), but my intuition tells me there is anger there. What could it be. . .anger at self, God, friends, spouse?

Very interesting, my friend.

No anger. But all that other stuff, yes.
Typically, luxury connotes negative indulgent extravagance, here I would like to suggest abundant undeserved blessing.
